    Medium Support Multi-Service Model where residents live in a housing complex that is very close or attached to a multi-service agency and has easy access to other services that are operated on the larger site (e.g., elderly person’s centre, medical clinics, restaurants etc.). This model minimizes social isolation because of the proximity. It significantly increases the pressure on our hospital emergency department, which currently sees an average of patients per day, making it one of the busiest emergency departments in all of Ontario. They have been surveying these patients, and the latest survey shows that 16% of these visits are from people without family doctors.
